Het begon allemaal na we vorige zomer een paar maand hadden stil gezeten met draaien. Toen het terug begon te kriebelen om achter de decks te kruipen. De voorbije 2 jaar hadden we altijd al met 3 achter de decks gestaan en het was tijd voor verandering. We begonnen weer regelmatig te oefenen en van het 1 kwam het ander. We besloten om samen een feestje te geven. Hier zaten we al langer met in ons hoofd maar deze keer zouden we er echt werk van maken. We begonnen als 2 17 jarige aan iets dat meer op ons dj leven en gwn leven inpakt had dan we verwacht hadden.

Na veel geregel en na een laatste chaotische week kwam het dan toch voor elkaar om op 30 oktober 2009 de eerste we are youngsters op poten te zetten. Deze 1ste editie was meteen raak, we mochten die nacht meer dan 900 bezoekers ontvangen.. Die ongetwijfeld een geslaade avond hadden met keatch als headliner in de zaal. Een paar weken na deze editie, terug uitgeslapen en bekomen van het grote feest. Besloten we groter te gaan en een volgende we are youngsters te organiseren. Niet meer in de pz zoals voorheen maar in de stadsfeestzaal te aarschot. Veel groter, veel betere infrastructuur,.. Kortom alles wat een organisator kan wensen om een goed feestje te plannen. De datum werd zorgvuldig uitgezocht en we kwamen dan op 2april uit. Iedere secundaire, hogeschool en unif start die vrijdag hun paasvakantie.

Reden genoeg om dit te vieren met een bangelijk feestje. Hoe kwamen we nu bij deze toch wel 5 headliners die we allemaal samenbrengen op 1 avond.? Dit kwam hoofdzakelijk omdat we bevriend zijn met maarten en jonas van project cyborg. Via hen kwamen we dan bij deze 5: Keatch (die na vorige editie niet kon ontbreken op de affishe), Geht's Noch, Lextravaganza, the Oddword en natuurlijk de gasten van project cyborg. We maakten dan ook ineens van de gelegenheid gebruik om ons zelf op de affishe te plaatsen met Trash.It. Waarvoor het dezer dagen toch ook al vrij druk begint te worden. Met een drukke agenda in maart en april. Momenteel zijn we bezig met de laatste voorberijdingen voor we are youngsters. De stress begint toch al de kop op te steken en elke dag denken we wel aan iets nieuws dat nog geregeld moet worden. We verwachten ook weer zoals vorige keer een vrij hectische laatste week. Maar we zijn er van overtuigd dat dit wel eens een heel zot feestje kan worden. De zaal heeft een kappasiteit van meer dan 1500 man een ideale zaal om voor 1 avond om te vormen tot de boilerroom van pukkelpop..

Due to his brother he was thrown into the world of Techno, New Beat, Rave and Hardcore at the age of 10. Ever since, dance music has a hold on this guy. So don't be surprised if you hear oldskool bangers next to todays hottest songs.)

(Geht's Noch? is one of Belgium's fastest growing dj duo's. They bring all what's best in modern Electro/House and spice their fresh cooked dish with recognizable flavours.
Armed with tracks from Switch to Gigi d'Agostino and back again, they play weekly at various locations throughout Belgium and surrounding countries.
They already had the chance to play at splendid locations and party's as Tomorrowland (Mainstage), Rex Club Paris, Bootshaus (Looneyland) Cologne, Make Up Club Ghent, Caf? PROJECT CYBORG

(We don't need to introduce you this crazy youngsters, the proud of Osschot City. They played several times on stubru and last year they eaven played an amazing set on Suikerrock. Be prepared for dirty dancing, fidget and pounding trash music..) MUMBAI SCIENCE !!

LEXTRAVAGANZA

(No story. Just a pile of A-class records, two itchy feet, a candybar and some raw energy, baby. He hits dancefloors as a deejay with a raving mix of funky ánd screaming sounds, pumped up to make you go "yeah yeah". Think dirty, sexy and sweaty, with a bassline so stabby you'd better wear a knife-proof vest when dancing to it.
No boundries, no pigeonholes. Leave those for pigeons.
Just a rocker playing and dancing to his favourite tunes, making you smile, move and move some more. Blending, mashing and scratching those tunes with a bunch of acapella's, loops and effects, prooving that live deejaying is still quite 2010.
He wants to bring down the roof and therefore usually brings a dose of energy high enough to power up your hometown community. Hopping from climax to climax, going back and forth between banging and floating, aiming his sets 100% at the dancefloor.
You're about to get raved, so start moving. )

THE ODDWORD

( The Oddword, is a Belgium based Dj duo that exist of
Boy Kortekaas & Ylli Engels.
Ylli and Boy met in the summer of 2005 and been friends ever since, with their love for music, they decided to join forces and formed THE ODDWORD!
Boy Kortekaas born 1984 has been around in the music scene for quite a while now and worked himself up to high levels of the industry.
he started out as a dj when he was 14, and got to producing when he turned 17, several years later he got signed to Dj Hell's Gigolorecords
Releasing his first track "Arbotique - Chin Eater" in 2006 on the Gigolorecords CD 10 compilation next to names such as Oliver Huntemann, The Presets and Hell himself
and this brought him around the world, boosting his dj career
In Belgium he Played in clubs and festivals such as Fuse, I Love Techno, Café d'Anvers, Cultureclub, Petrol, Noxx, and many more
in Europe he played in venues and events as: Watergate Berlin DE, Rio Berlin DE, Panoramabar Berlin DE, Gigolo Cd Release Party 10 &11, Goldrush Strip Club Miami FL, WMC 09 Miami FL
Now together with Ylli he opened a new window of creativity, as he functions as the Producer for The Oddword. Working together as one, on Bangin' Oddword Traxx.
Ylli Engels born 1985 is a fresh young talent in the scene, his dj skills are of the hook and so is his taste for music.
being a rookie never hold him down, his motivation is high !
this brought him in clubs such as Noxx BE, La Rocca BE, Capital BE, Petrol BE, and many more.
They are also Residents at the notorious PLASTIK)
